I won't argue with you if you want to die on the hill of Pinot Noir. I get it. It's as if a Swiss Army knife and James Bond had a baby - useful AND handsome.
There are some fantastic Pinot Noir alternatives out there, and I have some super cool ones culled below.
Pair up your Pinots and Pinot-like wines with duck confit or duck breast, mushrooms, thyme, and pan roasted or grilled salmon. If you have a richer Pinot on hand, say one from Russian River Valley, CA or Morey-Saint-Denis, France, try it with lamb. And here's a home-run Tuesday night dinner idea: mushroom risotto with thyme and Gruyère paired with any of the wines recommended here. You're welcome.
