Best with Marinara and Arrabbiata. It's great with the latter because you want soft and ample fruit to pair with the chili spice of the Arrabbiata - if your wine is high in tannins, it'll fight with the chili. Other wines to try with Arrabbiata include two Sicilans: Nero d'Avola and Cerasuolo di Vittoria.
This is an absolutely delicious Barbera made by one of the quiet stars of Barbaresco! Dark berries, purple flowers, and delicate baking spice are balanced with bright, lip-smacking acidity and tannins with the texture of ripe purple plum.
Practicing organic.
